The Bridges community is as unique as our student population but all share the journey of
twice-exceptionality with its struggles and challenges, exhilaration and rewards.
Our community is imaginative. Not only has the Parents Association fulfilled the traditional role of supporting school events and mounting fund-raising efforts , but members have set an innovative tone through the creation of 2E resource leads for parents. Our community is generous. The Annual Fund drives have yielded increased results each year and families have donated sports and musical equipment, classroom supplies, teaching aids and a range of technological equipment.
Our community is supportive. Parents and students have served on the various accreditation and Board of Trustees committees in the past and many of our families work on the annual Spring fundraiser event. Parent volunteers have helped enhance the Service Learning program (student tutoring, food and toy drives, Earth Day cleanup campaign, aid for the homeless and teenaged mothers, etc.) and helped with the development and implementation of the Family Assistance and New Family Host programs. This unique community of parents, faculty, staff, students and friends of Bridges continually strives to ensure that Bridges Academy will grow and flourish.
